My review is short of being perfect for two reasons. First of all the most daunting reason has nothing to do with the product itself but the box in which it was shipped to me. A large cardboard box displaying the words QANBA OBSIDIAN is like begging for it to get stolen. (which it may have been the first time since my package never arrived) I was brave enough to make a second order and nervously checked if my package would get delivered over and over. Thank goodness, I received the package the second time.
My second issue is a minor one. The product just smudges insanely easily. It's somewhat bothersome to see a beautiful product get smudged so easily.
Complaints aside. I'd still order again.
In love with my Qanba Obsidian. Glad I pulled the trigger in finally purchasing one that was on sale and after doing a little bit of research. High quality fight stick that will satisfy veteran and new FGC users needs alike. Lots of features worth the value I paid. I plan on modding it in the future, but right now I am enjoying the Qanba Obsidian in its original form. Keep up the great work Qanba! Thank you.
The obsidian is my very first fight stick that I have ever gotten. Functionality of all the buttons and joystick that came with the stick has been very responsive and comfortable to use. I would highly recommend this fight stick to a friend.
Just got this stick a few days ago and I can't stop playing Street Fighter V with it. Definitely feels well made and precise, the Sanwa JLF stick and buttons are on point. The size and weight feel amazing on your lap and won't slip around. It's really easy to open up and modify, I have already added a bat top and a circle gate. I can't recommend this stick enough, I love it.
I was on the fence about getting a Panthera or Panthera Evo and I'm really happy I went with the Obsidian. I don't recommend the Evo because it is difficult to modify and if you don't like proprietary buttons it comes with you are going to have to spend a lot of time to modify it. The Panthera isn't made anymore and is pricey, not worth the extra money in my opinion.
I also went with this stick over the Q1 because I wanted to buy on stick that would last me a long time. I could see myself wanting to upgrade from the Q1 but as far as I can tell, this will be the only stick I need for a long time to come.
The lever / stick is too close to the buttons. Otherwise, this stick is perfect!
It is my first stick but I don’t think any one can could find an issue with the obsidian. As long as you like a a square restrictor gate it’s a great stick
My first arcade, I did a lot of research on it and I love it. Everything that I’ve found out about the product is very true. It’s great to use, and I like the rubber grips at the bottom of it.
At first it felt really inaccurate but eventually I got used to it and it's amazing, can't go back to a controller now
This is by far the best joystick I've ever played with and I refuse to go back to controllers or other joysticks, I use it for soulcaliber, tekken, DBZ fighterz, osu, and muse dash. Can basically play anything with it as long as you dont need to use right analog to look around.
